Dahvi Wilson and Jeni Krencicki have been working together at Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies since January 2005. Brought together after the 2004 election, and at the time unaware of Rob Stein’s infamous PowerPoint presentation, they co-authored a report, titled “Lessons from the Right: Saving the Soul of the Environmental Movement” (www.lessonsfromtheright.com), which outlines ten strategic lessons that Progressives can learn from the successful strategies of the Right. One of the crucial outcomes of this piece was the realization that the Progressive movement must become more coordinated in order to achieve continuous electoral victory. Dahvi and Jeni are now working to help craft solutions specifically designed to increase collaboration within the movement, taking into account the unique qualities of the Left. Their new manuscript titled, “Forward Progress? The Fall and Rise of an American Political Movement," now offers the results of their research to the public. Their work in this area has earned them positions as Associates of the Commonweal Institute and Fellows of Redefining Progress, under which they are now consulting on relevant projects. A short summary of their work and associated research papers is available at www.progressivesynergy.org/papers.htm. A brief biography of each of them also appears below.
